UDIs G-free coupons!
UDI's Coupons Here
I saw their selection at the St. George Smith's and they looked great. I would definately get the chocolate muffins! I would probably freeze most of them, they are pricey but with the coupon it would be better (I'm thinking like $5 for a six pack of the muffins) but definately convenient!

Turning to Christ
OMG! I cant believe you. You crack me up. Jeff!
What I learned from this lovely experience is that you should always be prepared. I was grateful we had enough food, water, and gas. We would have frozen though if we would have stayed on the freeway. Next on my purchase list is a cool emergency blanket. Four of them!
I tried to nurse in the busy McDonalds. There was no where private, clean, or comfy. She wouldn't eat because there was too much noise. I thought for a second about Mary's dismay as she was pregnant, tired, and certainly uncomfortable.
Maybe it was just for a moment, but I felt very appreciative of the sacrafice Mary made to fulfil her destiny. I hope I can keep coming back to Christ each time I am stressed this season.

Enduring a Snow Storm
It's 5pm on a Sunday afternoon. Normally, we'd be home snuggled in a warm home watching the snow storm through a frosted living room window. Instead, my whole family is nestled in a warm, running car, sitting in a snow storm on Interstate 15 in southern Utah. We've been sitting still for about an hour. Luckily, we filled up with gas in a city 80 miles down the road and our tank is mostly full. My wife moved to the back seat to feed our 6 month old baby and our 4 yr old boy is standing on the front seat so he can stretch his body. My wife had to use the bathroom really bad so we had to make some accomodations to empty her bladder without going outside into the snow storm, I will bare you the details on how we accomplished the bathroom break.
Too make matters worse, my wife has the flu and our baby girl is also sick. Being cramped up in a Toyota Corrola going no where is not a pleasant way to feel better. I wish I could cook her some soup, make her hot chocolate, or massage her head. At no avail, I can't do any of those things but I am warm, safe from the hash snow, and with my family.
It is times like these that I'm grateful for technology like cell phones to write a blog, cars with heaters, and processed snack foods to keep our tummies full. For now, I guess we just wait and hope that cars will move soon.
I'd like to hear common experiences from you or maybe a list of activities we can do non-moving vehicle:)

Eating Out at IHOP minus Gluten
When the waitress first approached for our order, we explained the wheat allergy. We asked if she knew of any entrees that were wheat free. She said they could do an omellette without the mixture that has wheat (I would have guessed an omellette was g-free to begin with!) and just eggs and then the toppings. That was her only suggestion.
Then I looked through the offerrings. I don't eat eggs, so I would have to use egg substitute for the omellette and that hasn't worked well in the past. I started looking at how I could replace things that I knew had wheat (pancakes on the side replaced by fruit).
I settled on the classic sampler with egg substitute and fruit instead of pancakes. I double checked the ketchup to make sure it didn't have any gluten and used that with the hashbrowns.
So far, no stomach ache! We'll see how eating out for dinner goes!
